As the Chief Staff Executive of the San Mateo County Medical Association, Keith's role is to manage and oversee all organizational activities and provide leadership continuity and guidance to the volunteer Board of Directors. He works directly with the SMCMA President, Executive Committee, and Board of Directors to oversee areas of fiscal and managerial responsibility as directed by the strategic plan and annual budget. He provides direction and implementation of short and long term plans to increase membership and external program findings in order to meet organizational goals. He also coordinates all political action and advocacy activities in conjunction with SMCMA Physician leadership, the California Medical Association, and political action committees. He serves as the liaison between the organization and the public at large, including building and maintaining communication with political, economic, and affiliated organizations in the county and throughout the state of California.
